I calls it like I sees it

2001-10-01

My eyes are driving me nuts. They are very itchy, due to allergies, and the allergy eyedrops I got from an opthamologist aren't doing jack shit. To top that off, my sleep was disturbed last night due to the nocturnal scratchings and chewings of The Rodent. The Rodent is a very recent phenomenon; this is only the second time we've heard it. Basically, there is some kind of Rodent in our wall or ceiling (hard to tell where it is when one is groggy from being so rudely awakened) and it is making noise in the night and we're not sure how to evict it. How did it get in? What the hell is it chewing? I gave our cats a stern talking-to about The Rodent, telling them to get off their lazy asses and apprehend it or scare it away, but they did not seem to comprehend my lecture. They're too busy fighting amongst themselves lately to listen when I tell them something, but that's another issue.

HowEver, today has been okay. We took the other job candidate to lunch today and had a meeting a little while ago, and have basically decided to hire the first guy, because we like him better. He can probably start this week, even, because he has no job right now and seems eager to be reemployed.

For lunch I had a small mediterranean salad and a mocha cappucchino, and all is well. Very hungry right now, but more about that tomorrow.

I had planned to talk today about my weekend, even though it wasn't overly exciting, but I didn't get time to write earlier and I need to go home now. Tomorrow you shall hear all, unless of course you don't want to hear all, in which case you should avoid coming back here because I'm going to tell all whether you're here or not.

Love love,

E
