Ebola; the evil Jerri; I'm apparently a man

2001-02-02

You may or may not remember that really old cheesy God-y song, with the recurring line, "Put your hand in the hand of the man that stills the water", but if you do, just to let you know, I heard Francisco in the kitchen this morning singing, "Put your hand in the hand of the man that made the latte". Do you SEE why I married him?

I am still shaking my head over last night's Survivor episode. I decided to watch this Survivor II thing, because the first one was pretty good, and I'm not sorry I'm watching it but I'm amazed at how horrible and whiny and backbiting the contestants are--Already! It makes for some good television but it is causing me to despair for the fate of our nation. I have bitched about it a lot today on the atomictonic forum (www.atomictonic.com), so I don't feel I have a lot to say anymore, but damn, that Jerri needs to be kicked off the continent. And bitch-slapped something fierce.

And I know I'm coming in late on The Hot Zone, but this book kicks ass! If you haven't read it and you're fascinated by killer diseases, then run, don't walk, to your neighborhood library and check this sucker out. You won't be sorry.

Going to go home now. I don't update from home because, though I have a computer there, the connection is so slow it's way too aggravating and not worth the trouble. Hope you have a great weekend, and OH! Special thanks to the FABulous sidewaysrain (read her diary right here at diaryland!) for sending me a couple sites from which I can get a counter. As you can see I haven't done it yet, but I will. She's the best!

You answer questions and it guesses whether you're a man or a woman. It guessed me as a man--is it wrong for me to feel flattered?

Until Monday,
